I have been a registered dietitian (RD) since 2017. I truly love my job, and I am grateful that I get to work with my amazing clients. I use the frameworks of intuitive eating and HAES (Health at Every Size) while working with clients. I am a weight inclusive and anti-diet dietitian. Over the years I’ve learned that all eating disorders are unique, and I am able to customize my treatment to meet the needs of each client. Eating disorders are miserable, but I try to bring some lightness and humor into each session. Recovery is hard, but there is 100% a light at the end of the tunnel, even if my clients can’t see it yet. My job is to see that light and keep my clients working towards it. I genuinely care for each person I work with and am honored to assist them as they heal their relationship with food and their body.
I’ve always known that I wanted to work in the eating disorder field, and I was fortunate to be able to do so as my first job after college. Since then I have worked in all levels of eating disorder care including inpatient, residential, PHP, and outpatient. I have also created and taught a virtual class on intuitive eating and body image topics. In 2024, I spoke on a panel about the correlation between trauma and eating disorders at FNCE (This is the largest conference for dietitians in the United States). I like to share my knowledge with other dietitians and providers since many haven’t had much formal education around eating disorders. It’s my hope that by doing so these providers will be able to recognize eating disorder symptoms better and treat them more effectively.
Outside of work I love to listen to audiobooks (please pass along any good book recommendations), bake, watch sports, puzzle, travel, play pickleball, eat delicious food, and spend time with my family.
